Stretch your muscles and enjoy our countryside

Cycling activities in Entanda are suited to almost everyone. Entanda community is a big area with two newly well developed, and well-marked network of cycling paths that offer everything from local community exploration to long-distance rides. The rides range from 1 hour to over 5 hours!

Three trails have been mapped out from a network range of well-maintained communal roads to rough village-garden footpaths. The community’s geographical landscape is a combination of flat landscape, steep slopes and valleys giving the cyclist a well-deserved challenge. This even gets more adventurous during rainy seasons as the paths become slippery and muddy.

You're served a buffet of fresh fruits, a cultural dance and a sumptuous traditional meal - served hot! At the end, you plant a fruit tree!

The site is just 80km from Kampala City. It's a magnificent place. Entanda Cultural Adventure.

KIBEDI Trail (31km)

This is a 31km trail that is carefully designed to quench the thirst of an ultimate cyclist.
Kibedi trail is a cocktail of flat ground, steep and gentle hills and valleys running through tea plantations, trading centers, forests, gardens and communities.
It meanders through a special area with a sacred tree that has defied all efforts to cut it down. It is the only standing tree in the middle of a vast tea plantation!

MUKASA Trail (16km)

Named after our community elder, this trail is a little forgiving.
90 % of it runs through tea plantations. Hills and slopes dominate this trail and less flat ground. You get the opportunity to see how communities live. If interested, you could check out tea processing as you ride through the plantations.

HUNTER’S Trail (7.5km)

We call it hunter’s trail because Entanda used to be a community of hunters, and these would traverse great distances on hunting expeditions. The trail traverses through tea plantations, a small community, tropical rainforest, and people’s homesteads. It gives one great panoramic views of tea plantations, communities and the physical landscape.

This trail is suitable for infants and those who may not need physical strength. It has lots of slopes for refreshing. It is moderately challenging though.

TRAIL SUPPORT

Uganda’s weather is incredibly dynamic. Scorching sun can easily occur minutes after a heavy downpour.

With day temperatures ranging from 25°C-31°C, refreshment stops are a necessity. The team will identify a spot on each trail and arrange a table of fresh fruits and cooled bottled mineral water. The fruits will automatically boost your sugar levels giving you a much-needed energy boost.
